Great Book - Absolutely Must Read for all children! A Dog Named Lucky is a fun, heartwarming story about a boy and his not-so-ordinary German Shepherd, who can fly, talk, and sniff out trouble to protect kids from bullies. It’s imaginative enough to keep young readers hooked while quietly teaching lessons about courage and standing up for. Highly recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A heartwarming, sweet story perfect for young animal lovers! Our family really enjoyed A Dog Named Lucky! It is a beautifully written, gentle story that captures the exact excitement and pure joy of a child getting their first pet. The main character, Alex, is incredibly relatable, and his journey—from begging his parents for a dog to visiting the shelter and finally bringing Lucky home—is a path so many kids dream of walking. The language is highly accessible, making it a fantastic choice for an early chapter book or a cozy bedtime read-aloud. It also weaves in subtle, positive messages about the responsibility of caring for an animal without ever feeling preachy. If you have a young reader (around ages 6-10) who loves dogs or is dreaming of getting one, this is an absolutely lovely, feel-good addition to their bookshelf. Highly recommend!

Excellent read This is such a wonderful children’s book with an important message! The story is engaging, and the dog is a lovable, courageous character who doesn’t just bark at bullies he stands up to them and encourages kindness and understanding. I love that the book teaches children that bullying can be addressed with courage, empathy, and communication rather than meanness or fear. The illustrations are adorable, and the story kept my kids interested from beginning to end. It sparked a great conversation afterward about standing up for others, treating people with respect, and using their voices to make a difference. This is the kind of book that entertains while teaching valuable life lessons. I highly recommend it for parents, teachers, and anyone looking to help children build confidence, compassion, and empathy.

I want a dog like Lucky!!!! This book was nice. I always screen books before my nephew reads them, and this passed the test! I'm a little sad I don't have a dog like Lucky (that can talk), but I'm happy he's out there to help kids from being bullied.
